Hot feeling in lower abdomen...

Hello, I am writing this in hopes that someone can at least give me a clue about my husbands problem. For as long as he can remember, some night when he lays down to go to sleep he gets what he says ia a hot sensation in his lower abdomen, from just above his belly button down. It's not painful in the slightest, nor is he hot to the touch. He's tried a fan, cold rags, etc. to no effect, the only thing that helps is him changing postions, but the feeling returns within a minute. He's spoken to his doctor who prescribed his meds for RLS and Gerd, but neither one helped in the slightest, and his doc is pretty much out of ideas. Anyone else ever heard of something like this? Any help would be great, thank you!

Hi,I am 25yrs old man. I have the same problem that your husband has. Did your doctor figure out what it was? I haven't gone to the doctor yet.ThanksB

I am a 23 year old female and I was just searching for the answer to this.  I get that feeling once in a while only I feel like my skin is hot to the touch. But maybe its just me?? The only way I can describe it is it feels like I have a fever in my belly.  It has happened the morning after a few cocktails too.. so I don't know if there is any link to that? I don't drink often buy I wonder if it could be the metabolism of things by your liver? When your body metabolises things.. it uses heat.  Let me know feedback??
