Hi everyone,

I have been having been having a difficult time falling asleep and staying asleep. I haven't had quality sleep in a very long time and I am thoroughly exhausted. I am a 23 year old college student that has maintained a 4.0 GPA in the last year and a half, but as of now in order for me to get good grades I have to push myself very hard, since I have been taking so many sleep aids that my brain isn't performing as it used to. It all started when I had to much stress (mainly work related, and then financial problems). I've had anxiety and nervous tension ever since. When I try to fall asleep, every fold in my blanket brings discomfort and little things bother me to the point where it annoys me so much I keep moving throughout the night to find a comfortable position where nothing bugs me(but with no success). I don't drink, smoke, nor use caffeine. I exercise daily, lift weights, try to eat healthy, use supplements such as fish oil, multi-vitamins, chamomile, valerian root and B-vitamins but my nervous system can't seem to recover. I even used 5 htp yesterday(first time) but I did not seem to benefit from it. I am currently without medical insurance, but when I did have insurance, my doctor prescribed celexa which made me dull in school so I discontinued using it. Is there anything out there that can help restore my nervous system without affecting my mental capabilities? please let me know.
