What worked on the Molluscum Contagiosum

I and my 6 year old daughter have had Molluscum (MC). After I had it, I figured out what worked and when she got it (9 months after mine had gone away), this is what worked, and she only had them for 3 weeks.

1) Black Elderberry Immune System Support syrup taken orally (by Sambucol) - I wouldn't buy any other brand. $24 local health food store.
2) Use Echinacea Tincture on the MC - bought from a Medicinal Clinic, $10 bottle, over the phone located in Portland.
3) Pinch the white head out - careful not to spread head.

I had MC for 9 months and it was horrible. I went through Aldara, freezing, tea tree oil, etc.. nothing worked until the Echinacea Tincture. Good news is, your body will eventually get rid of the bumps one way or another.

When my 6 years old daughter showed me her forearm, I saw about 8 MC bumps. I also found one on her thigh. She would not let me squeeze the white core out at first (she is 6 and was scared). This is a legitimate method of eliminating them, my dermatologist said I could do this, but they were on my rear end, so I could not reach them. Knowing what worked for me, I immediately put 2 drops of Echinacea Tincture on each bump, one small drop at a time, let it dry, then put on another drop. Did this 2x per day, every day. And, I immediately started her on the Black Elderberry syrup (use dosage on bottle, the max dosage, this is an anti-viral) everyday and continuing for 6 weeks after the MC was gone (the MC has a long incubation period so that is why continuing for 6 weeks). It was 3 weeks later, after getting a topical pain killer from her doctor, that I squeezed the white core out of each bump on her. The MC in that 3 weeks before squeezing, did not change (grow or lessen). (When I had MC, the day I first saw one coming, I would use the Echinacea, and the MC bump would go away in 5-14 days by itself.) To squeeze the MC, be careful not to get the core on anything. This is my technique of squeezing. I have also copied a post from this site (given below) that I would suggest using the routine as closely as possible, I also used the Echinacea after squeezing. To prepare, buy a box of 100 latex gloves, a box of kleenex and all the ingredients listed in the copied post below:

Put on gloves, prep the first MC bump with chemicals (post below), use your two thumbs to pinch and squeeze the core out. It will come out with the force. It will likely land on one of the two glove-covered thumbs. Take a kleenex with the hand that does not have the core on it, and use the kleenex to remove the core from the thumb. Put kleenex with core on it in plastic lined garbage can. Remove gloves and put in garbage can. Wash hands well. Put on new gloves. Treat area where MC removed with chemicals. Move to the next MC bump, and repeat procedure. Lastly, follow routine of shower as described in post below. I used the Echinacia drops for another couple weeks where the bumps were until the skin healed. It took awhile to squeeze them all out (about an hour), but after that my daughter hasn't gotten any more.

It is a virus. So anything you can do to increase your immune system should help. Rest, eat right, eliminate sweets, etc. Good luck and let us know what works for you. I hope this post helps you.

Sometimes people feel that skin conditions are from issues with boundaries. Where do you need to help or change your own personal boundaries? Just a thought. It may not apply (to you or the person with this condition.)

Ladies and gentlemen, I think we have a winner.

A week ago, I posted my ten-step process of ridding mysef of MC. Today, I am happy to report that only two near-microscopic "zits" sprouted today. The 40+ "zits" I removed over the course of this week have remained dormant. Think about what that means, guys. I am living proof that you can cure MC by physically removing it at home. You don't have to spend money on doctor visits or creams that take months to work. Here's what I do:

A. Materials Needed

1. Isoprophy 91% (Alcohol)
2. Providone-Iodine 10% (Betadine)
3. Tea Tree Oil
4. Apple Cider Vinegar
5. Disposable Medical Gloves
6. Paper Towels
7. Any Body Wash with Salicylic Acid 2%

B. Before Your Morning Shower

1. Put gloves on
2. Rub Isprophyl 91% on and around areas affected with MC.
3. Find "zits" and squeeze them with your thumbs. Get all the "wax" out and ensure it does not touch your skin. If you are bleeding freely, you got it all.
4. Stick your fingers under a running tap and wash the "wax" down the drain.
5. Blot the open sore with a paper towel soaked in Betadine.
6. Repeat steps 3 through 5 until you have popped all "zits".
7. Get in the shower and keep your gloves on.

C. During your Shower

1. Wash the affected area with Salicylic Acid 2%
2. After washing, wash your hands with separate soap to keep things sterile.
3. Clean the rest of your body.

D. After your Shower

1. Use a towel to dry parts of your body without MC. Ensure the towel does not touch your MC areas.
2. Use paper towels to gently dry your MC areas.
3. Blot your sores with a paper towel soaked in Betadine.
4. Do the same with Tea Tree Oil.
5. Do it once more with Apple Cider Vinegar.
6. Dispose of the paper towels and your gloves.
7. Put on fresh underwear.

E. During your Day

1. Up your intake of dairy products and vitamin C.
2. Lower your intake of alcohol and chocolate.

F. Before Bed

1. Blot your sores with a paper towel soaked in Betadine.
2. Do the same with Tea Tree Oil.
3. Do it once more with Apple Cider Vinegar.
4. Put your underwear back on and get some sleep.
