Hi everyone. I am 33 and I've had this condition for as long as I can remember. When I was much younger I had told my father about it and he got me two tubes of cream. One made it worce but the other one eliminated the problem. It didn't last that long though. When I got older I was embarrassed to tell anyone. My testicles really itch and I have to scratch them for minutes to get some relief. It usually heppens when I come home from work and sometimes during work.
Does anyone know anything about this?
Thanks.

  • Hi,Im 18 and ive had the condition for about two years myself. It usually happens at night and i have to chronically scratch at them for relief, sometimes with an instrument such as a card or something. The conidition can be anything from Scabies, which is a small "animal" sort of thing like crabs, although it is not the "animal" bite that your skin is irretated by; the feaces left by the scabies cause inflammation and itching. Don't let this scare you as this is not health damaging, and a cream can kill them easily. Also, i don't have scabies! The condition can also be triggered by ingredients in washing detergent. Try using a different brand, or bio or none bio to see if this solves the problem. Remember, this is nothing to be embarrased about!Hope this helps

  • Safest and most effective is applying colloidal silver (carried in distilled water). Otherwise, antiseptic baby powder.

  • DO NOT use collodial silver!!!! It often imparts a blue pigment to the skin anywhere on the body. It also can be absorbed into the blood through the skin.

  • I have the itch too.A friend who is aspiring to be a nurse told me that it's just from shaving. There's little bumps that resemble acne.I don't think it's genital warts, but I did pop one, and it had a mixture of puss/blood.I'm sexually active, but the girls are all clean. The itch can get painful if not scratched, it's very intense. It happens mostly when I'm sitting still, or during arousal. It's quite embarrassing, and I do not want to go to a doctor.Anyone help?

  • Tea-tree soap cured me: Hi there. I've had itchy testicles for about 6 months now... Sleeping was terrible, and tried many creams, etc. Its quite humid where I live. Maybe that was a factor, as I sweated a lot. My testicles looked healthy, but itched like crazy at night, as the sack-skin naturally moved around. I thought at first it was dryness, but lotions/moisturizers didn't help so much. Last week someone on a site suggested using a bar of tea tree soap. I've tried many other failed products, but gave the soap a try.. washing my body with the soap before bed. In just two days... the itching was gone. Been sleeping like a baby since then. Hope this works for you! Ace

  • I have had itchy skin for as long as I can remember. But in the past few years the itch is much worse on my testicles. here is what I have learned about itch and how I solved the problem. There are three possible causes: infection (use antibiotic), fungus (use antifungal) or allergy or irritation (use cortisone sparingly or other anti-iritants). The combination that I found helpful is to first use an strong antifungal (I use Lotrimin Ultra) for a few days, especially on any red patches of skin. This provides some relief and will insure that any fungus will be killed which otherwise would just persist. After the antifungal treatment (or on top of it) I use a foot powder with 1% menthol. I found that other medicated powders do not work very well for me. The menthol provides immediate relief for several hours. It can burn at first, especially after a shower or if you have been scratching. And I have found that after a few days of using the menthol powder I need to use it less frequently or not at all. Along with the five senses (sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste) there are several others that do not fit into these categories (itch, tickle, heat, etc.). Itch is a sensation that may not be well understood and can occur in many different circumstances. A wound that is healing can itch for example. Some itching can be stopped by scratching, but this can also make the problem much worse. I found that scratching my testicles used to provide relief when I was younger but now feels good while I am scratching and immediately after only makes me itch more. The menthol powder does not aggravate the itch and gives quick and almost complete relief.for several hours.
