Im a 54 year old female and have been dignosed with grovers disease. Anyone have/or had it? what treatment have you used? I have had this for 3 years now. I am told that it sometimes just disapears and that it usually occursed in elderly males. Im healthy other than the grovers. Its itchy and very unslightly looking. I hate to think that this is how I will spend the rest of my life with this. Have used every cream, lotion and potion that you can think of. Im now on Gabapentin and atarax.

It went from ****y zits, thousands of them on my chest and back, then just disappeared. Nothing helped. It seems to run its own course. I also could not find any cause for it; it just happened. Perhaps it was caused by a visit to my dermatologist who is treating me for skin melanomas. This doctor's office would be the only place that I might have been exposed to other people with grovers disease. I had a biopsy done and they found no cause, no mites, no bacteria, no virus. There just does not seem to be a cause, which leads me to think that it is either enviromental (some mystery poison in a store or food) or else psychosomatic. Coincidentally, I had just quit drinking alcohol and started a healthier diet with a lot of fruit just prior to the breakout. Feel free to e mail me at DavidKassler@att.net.
