Burning underneath skin

Hello, I recently recharged my onshower water softener made from Sch 40 PVC plastic and then flushed it with what I thought was cold water but I'd actually let the boiling hot water run through it for at least 10 minutes. When I realised I let cold water run for about 5 minutes and jumped in the shower and had about a 15min long shower.
Straight after I felt burning underneath the skin not atually on the skin and had to sleep with nothing on. My skin can still feel the cold however beneath my skin is burning from head to toe. This has been constant for 4 days now and when external heat touches my skin e.g. sun my skin is hot on the surface and underneath which is extremly uncompfortable.
Could my skin have absorbed toxic chemicals from the PVC being heated or par melted inside? No doctors can tell me what is wrong or if I'll have to live with it for the rest of my life. Please help, I'm so uncompfortable.
