I am only 24, and over the years I have noticed that I have been getting pain all over my body. I have a high pain threshold but it is taking it's toll. I have pain that radiates across my shoulders, pain down my back to lower back, my right hip and right knee. I had my hip investigated for hip dysplasia but nothing was found, although I can make it thud. I hate complaining, and it's only now that I'm starting to notice the severity of it. I am training to be a nurse and long hours are a necessity! Which is a struggle when the pain is at it's worse. Sometimes my hip is so bad that I cannot weight bare and the pain radiates down to the rest of my leg, to my ankle (thought it was nerve related). I just wondered if anyone had any advice? I have done a lot of research into fibromyalgia but I don't have much understanding of it, the pain I have can be overwhelming and from my understanding, fibromyalgia can be a neuro problem? Also, the pain that is described for fibromyalgia isn't always the kind of pain I have, the pain I have is intense but dull, almost like an intense, dull ache all over my body and in the places that I tend to get the most pain. I also get chest pain, I was told I have inflamed cartilage between my ribs and sternum and that worries me from time to time. It is affecting my mood, relationship and work. I am always tired, any advice would be much appreciated! I feel like an old woman! I should be running round like a spring chicken at 24!
Thank you :)
