I have numbness and popping in my ears. ENT said everything looks fine, so Im running out of options. Ive been using Mucouesnex, Singulair, and Nasonex, all of which don't help. For the past couple months, my face has felt numb also, which is affecting my vision as well. And to deal with all these problems Ive been taking Clonipin about 0.5 mg a day. I might try acupuncture, but does anyone have any ideas.

  • you could have an ear and sinus infection. My ears always pop when I have an ear infection and usually my face hurts when I have a sinus infection but I'm sure it could be the opposite for somew people. Evryone's body reacts differently to just about everything. And it could have something to do with your meds as well. I would maybe try to see an ears ,nose, throat specialist if it persists. Hope tou get to feeling better soon!

  • I too experience ear like popping in the night. It's in my right ear. It's not a noise it's like my ear is throbing inside or an ear muscle is contracting. It has been happening for about 12 weeks now. My doctor says my ears are clean and itmay have something to do with blood pulsing through the veins or heart. He does not know, that's for sure. It's not sore in any way, but I have noticed on previous occassions my ear a little itchy inside. It does not keep me awake but is annoying. I was also told it could be nerves or agitation over something. Anyone know whats causing thisThanks Linda

  • Hi all...Been there, got the T-Shirt... You have got a fluid build up (probably mucus) in one of your sinuses.. This creates a pressure vacuum , which typically results in a sinus headache.sometimes fever, sore and throbbing nose, face pain and occasionally ear popping /cracking. This is a result of the mucus affecting your Eustachian Tube (middle ear).. Can casue dizziness leading to anxiety also - Go see the ENT specialist ASAP..Mrs Bean there B4

  • Not sure if this helps. I had continuous Sinusitis for 18 months - ear congestion and popping. Several courses of antibiotics did not cure the problem. Had asthma attack and put on prednisalone (steroids) both conditions disappeared in 24 hours. When I finished the course the condition reappeared. Then I got pheumonia which put me in hospital. The sinuses were also very bad. After several blood tests CT scans etc. Turned out to be Eosinophilia - over production of a particular white blood cell which attacked my sinuses and lungs. Treatment Prednisalone for several months. Might be worth asking for blood tests if this is a recurrent probem. Good luck.

  • Hi, i have been suffering similar symptons for 3 weeks now, it just came on all of a suden. No Cold. Now i have imbalance and blokce right ear, with numbness down the right side of my face. Been haveing on off days with shivers. Doctors have had no idea what is wrong, saying my ears are fine. I am awaiting blood test results. I do not have a blocked nose but think the symtoms seem very similar to sinus trouble, just wondered if it could be this?

  • I have just found some relief for the "ear popping/crackling-head feeling full/constant pressure-headaches-fluid feeling in my ear feeling" that the ENT and regular doctor said was "nothing"/"not sure where that noise is coming from" (as the noise is audible to others, too)/"maybe it's TMJ/TMD". Out of desperation I called the local health food store on yesterday. I have read all of the ear candle horror stories online, but I also realized that most of those negative feedbacks came from the Western medicine/pharmaceutical perspective. Needless to say, I'm more of a "natural" type.So I bought 4 candles. I looked up online directions on the safety "how to's" and read the directions that came with the candles. My husband helped me do one candling in my right ear. Today I have the same feeling in my LEFT side as I have had for the last 2 months. Crackling, popping, fluid rolling, head pressure, headache, etc. My right side, however, only has a very small popping remaining and the pressure is GONE. Tonight we shall commence to candle my right ear one more time and the left ear twice. I felt compelled to share my results (and am in no way saying that this will work for everyone- I am not a doctor). I don't see how some of you have suffered with this for years, months, etc. The relief I feel in one side today is remarkable.

  • Hi Eosin,My wife has exact the same symptom like yours. Prednisalone for several Months worked for you? I understood that Prednisalone has series side effects. How long have you been off Prednisalone? And since the last treatment the symptom is gone for now? My wife's symptom comes back in 3-4 weeks after long period of Prednisalone.I really appreciate your response and share your experience with the group.Thank you very much.Sam

My doctor said he thinks it might be Meniere's Disease but I don't think I match all of the symptoms shown on Web MD. Are you having any of the other symptom's that I described.
