Hi everyone. Thanks for reading my post.

I've had either a tingling or a feeling of pressure to urinate, or an itchiness at the tip of my penis for just about a year now. Its not constant - it comes and goes - when its worst it just feels almost like I need to pee all the time, except without the urgency, at its best I either don't feel it or just get a slight itch. It comes maybe for a fortnight or so then subsides.

I live in Britain so can't really control my healthcare the way you guys can - I can only see who my GP lets me (although I've already changed GPs over this).

As for the STDs route, well I've been tested for them and tested negative, and my present GP has even given me antibiotics just incase anyway, but it didn't work.

As for skin irritation - well the sexual health clinic I saw originally game me aqueous cream. It seemed to help for a while, but doesn't any longer.

My old GP thought I might have thrush and recommended cannesten cream but it appeared to have no effect after I'd been applying it for three weeks nearly.

I've also tried changing shower gel to a dermatologically sensitive one, and also changed my detergent to a dematologically sensitive one, as well as washing my penis out in salt water. I wash it way more than I ever did before incidentally, which i guess is a good thing.

I have been sexually active on and off, although when this problem first started I hadn't had sex for about three months. Similarly it became a big problem again in January, yet I hadn't had any sex since September.

The only physical signs that I have are a little bruise just on the opening of my urethera (on the right hand side) and a small mark just about half a centimeter inside that I can make out if I squeeze it open.

I have at last been referred to a urologist and am going there on Thursday, so hopefully they can come up with something. I will make sure I point out my symptoms too, although no doubt they will treat me like an idiot as doctors always do.

But I can't be the only person in the world to suffer from this, can I?
