Pain in the left testicle

I am experiencing some pain in the left testicle. It started after a few masturbation sessions where I would squeeze and pull my testicles slightly. There was never any pain while I did this, so I thought I wasn't being too rough.
The pain only exists when I touch the left testicle. There is no swelling, or redness, or bruising of any kind. I do not have insurance and my funds are extremely low, so a visit to the doctor over something that could be nothing doesn't sound like a good idea.
Just wanted some advice as to what it could be.
