Foot Numbness

As you might be able to tell, I'm 57, and have recently developed pronounced numbness in the toes and bottom front pads of both feet. The bottom pads (just below the toes) is the worst, I pretty much don't feel a light touch, for example, with a sock; of the toes, the big toe seems to be the worst, including around the bottom of the nail, which is normally a sensitive area. The feet are cold all the time, I have to wear socks and slippers around the house and occasionally I get a serious cramp in the arch of the foot if I extend the foot the right way. A doctor has ruled out diabetes, which I was concerned about since my maternal grandmother had it.

Other conditions that might be relevant: seizure disorder and I have had a bulging disk problem.

Anyone seen similar symptoms?
