Kidney pain, not stones or infect?

Hello all, just found the forum and didn't find anything _quite_ the same as my condition. I've seen my general practitioner about a few times over the past 2 months. It stated as a very light pain I originally attributed to a flu in my left side just under the ribcage seemingly right in the middle of my torso. I've run through many possible explanations with no answers. I've done a ct for physical abnormalities and kidney stones, and have been on two rounds of antibiotics for infection.

The pain itself is barely noticeable until I move in the wrong way, which seems to differ, but happens when I rise in a 'crunch' motion from my back, and is ESPECIALLY painful when I cough or sneeze (neither of which are symptoms however.) These fits of pain seem to come and go, but seem to be becoming longer as time goes along. At best it's barely noticeable, at worst the pain literally makes me stop and lay on my back until it ceases.

Me- Nonsmoker (asthmatic), light drinker (none since the pain began, I figure kidney pain and booze don't mix.) I haven't had a job that's made me lift anything in over a year so I don't believe it's a tissue/back injury.

My doctor seems to think it may be related to my digestive path (namely intestines) however I don't feel this is going in the right direction as I'm fairly certain the pain is much too high for that (it's in no way abdominal.)

Any suggestions would be very welcomed, as the specialist he's about to refer me to will not be pleasant by any means...
