vaginal irritation and rash, no change in discharge. Very Worried...

Question

I'm 19, and this kind of thing has never happened to me before, I'm quite worried. I think I have a vaginal infection, but I'm not sure. My symptoms are: vaginal itching, irritation, and rash, and slightly watery discharge occasionally. It's been like this for a little over a week. Just prior to the start of this, I was having spot bleeding in the middle of my cycle. I should mention (because it seems relevant,) that I am sexually active, and have had only 2 parters. I am also on a birth control pill.

At first I thought I might have a yeast infection, but some of the symptoms don't match up. Please help me, if you can.

Your county has free STD clinics; you might have a couple of infections.  They can do a general STD screening, but they usually don't check for herpes, which you might have with the rash.  If the rash has subsided, you will need a blood test for herpes 2, IgM and IgG.  For some reasons, men either don't know that they have anything...none of them have anything...or they don't care and ignore symptoms.  Your partners will need treatment, too.

Thank you, that is helpful.  I'm looking into the clinics now.I'm kind of angry about all this...  I'm pretty sure I got whatever it is from someone that told me he had gotten tested, but just confessed to me that he actually didn't, and he's been with 5 people.... and yeah, he said he hasn't had any symptoms.  :mad:
