pls help Chronic pain in lower back (patient with CA lung and brain mets)

Question

My aunt is suffering from CA lung with Brain mets.
She has gone through 2 chemo cycles and 5 sets of radition for brain mets and is now on gefitinib tab.
Now she is suffering from acute lower back (sacrum) pain ...
All Xray and MRI reports don't show any problem....
PLS help...
Is the cancer spread to her spinal chord ?
are there any other ways of diagnosis ?

Maybe it's referred pain, in other words, the problem is in some other part of the body, but the nervous system transfers the sensation of pain to an uninjured area. Ask to see a pain specialist.
