Hello. Over the past two years I have been dealing with progressive symptoms that no doctor has been able to diagnose, or treat/stop. It started with immense fatigue and general feeling unwell. In November of 2017 everything got worse very quickly. I had near syncope and had to go to the ER and was observed overnight, and ultimately discharged in the morning. From that point on I started experiencing immense dizziness/lightheadedness and began to loose weight. I quickly also began to experience oropharyngial dysphasia . Within a week pain/cracking a popping started to set in throughout the joints and muscles in my whole body. I rapidly went from 155 lbs down to the mid 130’s and have not been able to gain any weight. I have pockets where tissue once was, and am wasting subcutaneous tissue/connective tissue all over my body. This is in my face, my legs, chest, literally everywhere. I have had an immense work up from clean EMG’s, MRIs, echoes and CT scans and even more, and have seen more doctors and speacilists than I can keep track of. This past week both neurology and primary care who have seen me for a year at this point have stated that I am “wasting” but have no idea as to what could be causing this process. I’m in immense pain every day in my muscles and joints and continue to loose weight/strength. I have developed neuralgia in multiple points, most present in my face and lower legs. Before all of this I was active and worked out multiple times a week. All of this weight loss is in the presence of adequate nutrient intake, and not just laying around in bed so no disuse here. Wondering if anyone has experienced anything like this. Overall doctors have called it “strange” or “bizzare” and ultimtey pass me off to the next doc or back to primary care. They want me to go to Mayo Clinic but I can not afford the trip or time off work and am stuck in a revolving door with symptoms worsening.
