  • You may have developed some fibrous tissue around the area of injury, which is now a "lump." And you also may have injured the nerve, causing the muscle to sag. Try massaging the lump and the area. Congratulations on your wedding! Marionstar

Try massaging the lump and the area. Congratulations on your wedding! It is possible to develop a tumor at the site of an old injury, but it takes a LONG time. Be sure you didn't have the lump before the fall, in which case it does need to be checked. Marionstar

  • Don't Attempt To Squeeze The Lump....it Could Be A Subdermal BoilOr Mrsa Infection...squeezing Will Make It Spread And Then BecomeSystemic. Have The Lump Examined By An Infectious Disease Md.He/she Will Biopsy Or Culture It.

  • I fell about a month ago, and I have a lump on my buttock also. I fell on my right side. I am a breast cancer survivor. I had my breast taken off on the right side, and I also had some lyn nodes take out, and now I have lymphedema in my right arm of which I bruised when I fell. I had been doing okay with my lymphedema, I had gotten it wrap, it was still swolen, but I didn't have pain, if I did have pain, I could take a tylenol and it would be okay, now after the fall, my right arm hurt continuely. I know I need to get therapy on it and will be doing this, however I am concerned with the lump on my buttock, I told this so maybe someone could give me some outlook on the whole problem I am having. Thanks

  • i fell down some stairs on my **m 3 months ago. i got very bad bruising to my left **m cheek. the bruise soon faded but i have been left with a lump on my left cheek that feels like its full of liquid. my docs first thought it was a heamatoma but they are usually hard lumps. the doc suggests the muscle has been seperated from the skin when i fell and the space has been filled with fluid or blood. i am going for a scan next week to see whats in there then possible getting it all sucked out. not looking forward to it!!

  • Please let us know how it goes. I have the same thing from a fall 3 weeks ago. Dr says it should go away in eight weeks but I'm not so sure. No improvement so far with the large bump.

No improvement so far with the large bump.I fell January 2nd in a big snow storm on the fifth step from the bottom of the outdoor stairs. I got a bruise that looked like an accident victim and it scared me. It was an inch bigger all the way around than my hand. It was black and then deep purple and then red and now has faded out, but I have a large bump kinda feels like a hotdog size thing inside there on my right buttocks. Doesn't really hurt, but is a bit annoying to say the least. I am hoping this will disappear over time and have not been to the doctor or anything, am just thankful that I didn't break anything in the fall.

Mine was a lipoma which was removed surgically. Lipoma is a fatty tumor. Mine was benign. It was a bump under the skin. Good luck to you. I know this is quite a while from when you entered your situation. I don't know if you will even see it.

  • I fell down some stairs 6 YEARS AGO and got a ginornous bruise covering one whole side of my rump. The bruise went away but left a kiwi sized lump deep in my butt muscle that has never gone away. I saw my doc a few months after it happened and she said it was probably scar tissue and massage or ultrasound might help. I never pursued either treatment because it wasnt really bothering me (beyond cosmetically). However, I recently amped up my exercise routine and started running a lot, now im getting what feels like a sciatic nerve pain on the same side as the bump starting just above it. I wonder if the scar tissue is pinching my nerve or something. Obviously I'll go back to the doctor, but im curious to find out what became of all of your rump lumps.

I think I need to go to my new doctor their must be something that can be done.I have the same problem. Had a bike accident over 5 yrs ago and fell on my butt, there was a big bruise which eventually disappeared and left a soft lump. This lump is visible when I wear pants making one side of my butt look bigger than the other. Can anyone share how they got rid of theirs?

  • I fell down the steps two years ago or so and had the wicked bruise now I have a lump, affectionately referred to as my bump! I just returned from my Dr. and he said my bump is made up tiny bubbles of a protein fluid and can not be aspirated, he tried, and to sit on a heating pad to heat up the bump and hopefully my body will reabsorb my bump. After that if it doesn't re absorb I am not sure what happens next but for now I am sitting on a heating pad and hoping!warm tushie!

  • For anyone who's fallen and hit some stairs pretty hard resulting in a bump that never went away.. I fell down my stairs last year hitting the edge so hard that it resulted in a huge hematoma that took a month to heal but a bump and dent that never went away. I saw a dr who explained that I literally fractured the fat on my rear end, leaving scar tissue that would never heal. I had surgery to have the damaged tissue removed and insurance covered it since the injury is a result from trauma.

  • OMG it won't be a boil or MRSA infection for gods sake!...I have the same thing from a fall down the stairs months ago...it's scar tissue/damage/hematoma...I have no idea how to get rid of it but I don't like the look of this egg on my butt!

  • I have the same thing and am now experiencing that sciatic like nerve pain when exercising as well...I have had my saggy lump for a year now, it's like I've damaged the muscle permanently ...and from a hard fall down stairs also,,,and how ridiculous this is NOT MRSA or any such thing, it is not an infection! duh!
