Severe mass/swelling with an extreme amount of unrelenting pain/tenderness in hip/lateral thigh area. Pulsatility exists more times than not. 3 years of testing, including numerous mri, ct, ultrasound, x-rays by some of the best specialists in the country. How can a major muscle/tendon tear be missed on so many studies?? Are there a battery of diseases that mimic conditions of a hamstring tear that no-one has even considered as of yet. Because Tx has been delayed for so long, there may even be septic issues. The Neurological issues have already been confirmed, as severely abnormal in entire extremity due to this major area of swelling.............yet no one knows how to procede, while my condition deteriorates. I feel there is an extensive amount of mis-diagnosis or wrong interpretation of studies OR even the wrong studies being performed..........Has anyone got any ideas of a good Neurovascular or an Orthopedic Institution in the country to resolve this tough case that ought to be showing up at "Grand Rounds????????":(
