I began suffering from headaches/migraines about one year ago when they started for no real reason. They were extremely debilitating and would last for days/weeks. I was rarely light/sound sensitive and had no nausea but was extremely motion sensitive and would experience tingling thoughout my face. The migraines would last for as long as 32 days, even with the treatment of meds. We thought I may be having some rebound effects so we came off all pain medications but this had no effect on the headaches.

Now, I'm exhibiting exertional headache symptoms. I can barely take 20+ steps without having to take a break because the pressure build-up in my head becomes so severe that I cannot stand the pain. If I push myself, I will bring on a migraine that will last for days or weeks. I cannot go up stairs, do dishes, have a bowel movement, or even partake in exciting conversations. Watching a sports game will make me sick. I am nearly in constant severe pain and constantly having to hide it from the world.

I have been diagnosed with Lupus (SLE) though all my bloodwork indicate that I am not having a flare. My brain scans and MRIs are all normal.

Imitrex injections work best and I am taking 125 mg Topmax (but I think it is doing little for the migraines) as anything higher makes it difficult for me to think. All other meds haven't worked at all.

Please provde any advice.
