I am a 48 year old woman, 3 1/2 years ago I had a broncoscopy and was diagnosed with a hyatus hernia. Since then I have had a cough, dry throat, phleme, not sleeping, very depressed. I have been using an inhaler but as I'm not asthmetic the doctor would like to stop me having them. When I haven't got one I end up with server breathing difficulties and pain in my chest then I have to phone an ambulance as I need a nebulizer cause this helps. Doctors can't give me any diagnosis can anyone phrase help I'm getting more and more depressed.

  • The broncoscopy could have damaged the back of your throat ( oral phrangeal or nasal pharaynx ), if so , you need to see an ear, nose and throat specialist ( ENT), normal mucous secretions seem impaired hence dry throat. So inhaler helps to dilate air passages.
