Bending at the waist is painful but I can push through that pain to touch my toes. When I sit down or get up it's the compression of my spine that's painful(out of some adjectives I think the closest description would be sharp/severe stiffness- it's not burning or aching). I also have been noticing that my hips have pain too but that pain alternates sides. I have no leg pain(sciatica). When I straighten up from a bended waist I have to stabilize my left side with my hand. I went to the Doctor for the first time regarding this problem and he sent me for xrays which came back normal but he refused to order an mri. Excercising my ab muscles has become very painful because I can barely bend my back. I feel like this is a slipped disc but when I mentioned that to the doctor he said I was jumping to a diagnosis and suggested that I strengthen my core. I really don't want to go back to the clinic to explain all of this again just so I can be ignored because they think I'm looking for pills. I want to know what's wrong with my back. Can you help me narrow it down. Thank you.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
