Hi there,

I am a 27 year old male and I began having severe abdominal spasms beginning about 3 months ago. They are rather violent and cause me to lurch forward and take my breath away, but are not painful. At times, I have a dull pain in my left lower abdominal quadrant. About once a month I'll have a little bout of diarrhea. I am otherwise fit, thin and eat very healthy. Please, ANY advise would be greatly appreciated.

  • Any abdominal pain should be brought to the attention of a physician as soon as possible. There are so many variables involved, and so many conditions which may present with the symptoms you mention -- some serious and some benign. I have included a video which may help you assess your need to see a physician. Be well, Dear! Mary N.
