My daughter started out with a small area on her hand that was red, in the crease of her palm. It slowly grew over a period of a week. By ten days, it was covering the upper half of her palm and became extremely itchy, especially at night. The appearance was patchy redness and did not look dry. It has since migrated to other parts of her palm, leaving the previous itchy areas dry and red. The newest red patchy areas are the itchy areas. It has started on her other hand and is unbearable at night. I've taken her to two doctors, a naturopath and an MD. Both said Eczema due to her history. HOwever, she has never had anything like this. And, since it is so localized, I am at a loss to what is causing it. I thought it may have been scabies because of the severe itching. But upon looking at pics of scabies, it doesn't look anything like that. WE have an appt. with a dermatologist but it is over a week away and I can't imaging going that long with this sleep problem. THe docs said to moisturize and keep dry. The MD said to use cortizone. Please help! Pic included.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
