Almost everyday, i get this sharp pain in my right side. Its under my rib cage between my rib cage and my hip bone. Last night at my uncle's 50th i got a sharp pain for about 3 minutes in my bellybutton. I read on the internet that pains in my bellybutton and my right side could be something to do with my appendix. I asked my mam and she said its to do with my period as its due in a few days. Im really scared that its to do with my appendix. It sometime goes near my pubic hair. Sometimes some of my underwear may be too tight and that causes the pain but im still really scared! Im almost 16 years old and i have my whole life ahead of me and im really scared it could be my appendix acting up, kidney stones, ovarian cysts or something. Someone please help me! Thank you!

  • You should see your doctor about this without delay. I will tell you that when I ovulate I have severe pain. Just before my periods on alternating sides every month. I have realized that its ovulation. The pain doubles me over to a fetal position and lasts about 24 hrs. Just the vibration of walking is extremely painful and the pain level is so high you're sure something serious is wrong. Well, some midol or ibuprofen has always helped and it only lasts about a day. It's very definitely on one side or the other. Which ever side it's on this month, it will be on the other side next month so I am sure it's ovulation. I started recognizing this pain after I experienced a tubular pregnancy. The first month after the surgery I was in such excruciating pain, I saw the doctor and he said it was probably ovulation and my body trying to return to a regular cycle. I have experienced it on alternating sides ever since and know exactly what it is. I take ibuprofen and stay still as much as I can
