I had mono for a month and now have had a cough for 6 months. What should I do?

So basically I started showing mono symptoms before Christmas which continued for a month mixed with a couple of bacterial infections (I was prescribed asythromyecin (if that's how you spell it) a couple of times and them again like 3 weeks after everything except the cough went away. It seemed to be getting better, but now (about 6 months later)I can't go more than 5 minutes before doing a wet cough. And I think my chest is doing the rales noise where it bubbles and crackles weirdly. What on earth could possibly be wrong with me? Will this get better eventually, once my immune system fully recovers from mono (I heard that can take like a year).
Also, I'm 19 and typically healthy
