30 year old female/
I have had constant head pressure for the past couple months. Each episode lasts 2-4 days at a time. I remember blurred vision once or twice and a dizzy spell or two. I've had an accident about 4 years ago and suffered a light concussion, but have had no problems since until now.
I am a smoker and have a "smoker's cough" and each time I cough the pressure in my head feels like it will burst.
Could this be serious, what tests should I get done to rule out any potentially dangerous causes?
Thank You.

  • You may have a sinus infection. Try getting some over the counter medication and if it worsens check out a doctor. It has nothing to do with your accident

  • Most probably you have anxiety.Anxiety causes feeling of pressure in the sculp sometimes with burning sensetion. Also anxiety may cause your sinus swelling. If it happens some acidic liqued swels to your throat. search for anxiety , high cortisol levels, GABA increasing medicines and diet, other relaxing methods to reduce anxiety. You may want to get your tyroid checked. Some doctors suggests vitamin b complex , biotin , boron , magnesium and omega3 to help hormonal balance. If doctors diagnose anxiety on you try not to get addicted to bezodiazepin group meds like xanax. They do help with GABA reseptors but they are higly addictive.Dont take them if you cant find any other way.. Staying away from stress, taking a shower to discharge your body, sport activities help a lot.Remember... Anxiety is the symptom...not the sickness itself.. You need to work on the reasons.I hope you get better soon

  • I have MS and believe my head pressure is related to that. I'm researching more. Feels like my head is a volcano about to erupt.
