Hi, I am a 31 year old female, I have 2 kids, 7 and 11 years of age. When I was pregnant with my second child I had a problem with numbness of my hands and arms when I am asleep. The doctor gave me some calcium medicine that never worked. The pain disappeared on its own over some time, and now it has come back 6 years later. I cannot sleep peacefully at night I have to wake up 3 or 4 times to stand up so that the numbness can go away. Sometimes I have to pick my hands up or swing them back and forth to ease the pain. They even get swollen in such a way that I cannot fold a fist.

I would really appreciate your help.

Thank you

  • I have the same problem and was diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome.there are a couple of in office injections they gave me,and said depending on how well that worked, there's a surgery that can be done that's pretty simple,as far as surgery goes. Hope this helped.

  • Sounds like carpal tunnel. Have had it for years with terrible flare ups especially after a full day of yard work, painting, etc. Wearing wrist braces to bed help immensely. Other than that, I walk around lightly shaking them while hanging down at sides. No cure just management
