I have excruciating and chronic nerve pain most of the time. What can it be? Doctors don't know.

A rheumatologist told me it is not fibromyalgia. My rheumatoid factor is negative. I'm tired all the time. I have hypothyroidism, treated with levothyroxine. I'm in tears a lot of the time and I'm definitely no fun to be around. Consequently, I've isolated myself and frankly, I don't want to see anyone. Can anyone give me an idea what's wrong?
