Symptoms progressed over year:
Acidic taste, almost unbearable with increased salivation, pulsating throbbing muscle tightening & spasms, mostly left side, tacharcardia when left ER & got to my PC. Coordination way off, confusion, loss of balance, tingling hands & feet. Prior "episodes" thought unrelated & were tolerable. Then WHAM. I was put on a sulpha drug for what felt like UTI, also wasn't taking acid reflux med not having any severe heart burn for some time, & a hormonal onslaught of menopausal symptoms from total hysterectomy done 3 months ago. Wasn't even having hot flashes til a month ago & wow. No idea how wicked & powerful hormones can be until now. Suspected a metabolic or other acidosis, tests not back yet but I finally got relief when I took my omezaprazole magnesium just because I had heartburn. Apparently too high of percentage of acid in my blood. Any experiences, tests recommended, outcome, etc. This truly scared me & I was going into shock & blacking out. Scary!!! I think this will be ok but until tests come back & my dr returns I'm feeling confused & need some reassurance that this is not "all in my head". Sorry hospital, you give the great health professionals a bad name. Thanks for reading. I've had some yucky illnesses but this thing has me shook up.

  • I had a lot of those symptoms too. Turn a out the air ducts in my home were loaded with mold spores and dust mites. I was breathing this stuff in. Ended up getting them clraned, sanitized and a uv light put in. My symptoms completely disappeared within 3 days.
