I'm experiencing periodic pain in my left leg in the area of the calf nearer to the fibula.

The pain lasts less than a few seconds then disappears for about 9 or 10 seconds then repeats. It has been like this since I got up this AM and it is now 10PM. If I stand on the subject leg, the pain cycle stops. If I walk around the pain stops. I'm a diabetic II with lower back pain and am 78 yrs old. I'm on medication for diabetes(merformin), cholesterol(Crestor) and depression(cymbolta. Has anybody else experienced this conditions?
