Pain and weakness in my left hand and noticed big hard knot in between knuckles what could this be??

My lower arm and hand on the left side has had a throbbing dull pain for a few days now and today I noticed a large knot between my pointer and 2nd finger knuckles.. Hand is weak and its hard to get a firm grip on things I pick up due to the weakness and throbbing what could this be???

  • Sounds like you have a ganglion cyst.
    A ganglion cyst is a tumor or swelling on top of a joint or the covering of a tendon.
    The cause of them are not fully understood.

    •Most ganglion cysts cause some degree of pain, usually following acute or repetitive trauma.

    •If pain is present, it is usually chronic and made worse by joint motion.

    •When the cyst is connected to a tendon, you may have a sense of weakness in the affected finger.
