To begin, my boyfriend is 18 and has been a smoker for a couple of years now. Last month he had a fever that lasted for about a week, his symptoms were coughing followed by mucus, a stuffy nose, and he was also very fatigue. The following 2 weeks he felt better and was able to work and do stuff fine but he was still coughing, he also complained about really bad chest pain. He told me that there was a lump under his chest that would hurt whenever he pressed on it. He couldn't lay flat on his back because it would hurt even more and he also said that it felt like his lungs were being pierced. He felt better later that day but I believe the pain continued onto the next day but wasn't as severe. Just a few days ago he told me that he felt completely healed but today he woke up feeling sick again with a runny nose. We met today and had an early dinner and then we went outside to sit. I was facing him and noticed he started looking very tired or like he was thinking about something very hard. I kept asking him if he was okay but he just kept saying yes and that his head hurts a little but I could tell something was wrong and that's when he started to space out and his head fell on the table. I ran to his side and sat him back up and he woke up but he told me he doesn't remember blacking out but remembers feeling very dizzy before that and that his vision was blurry. He hasn't had any serious illnesses in the past and he still smoked while he was sick. I keep telling him to go to a doctor but he keeps avoiding it and assuring that he's fine. Can this be something serious? I'm extremely worried and just want an idea of what could be wrong with him.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
