Hello - I am a 52 year old woman who is relatively healthy. Except for thyroid disorder and depression. My first "episode" was about 2 months ago. I was driving on the highway and getting off the exit. While driving on the exit ramp, I suddenly felt like the whole world sort of "tilted". From that, I got extremely nervous and my heart started palpitating, thirsty, sweaty, usual symptoms of a panic attack, right? I have suffered from panic attacks before but never did I have these harsh symptoms. Since that episode, every time I drive, I get dizzy and nervous and then the heart starts going. Needless to say, I have barely driven in the past two months. Since then, I have had "attacks" where my brain feels extremely foggy, I have major pressure in my head - especially between my ears; I feel dizzy and out of sorts. I basically feel like I'm in a fog. Sometimes it happens at night when I can't sleep and then my jaw will start clenching and my breathing will stop. I have to force myself to start breathing. Then I can't fall asleep because I'm afraid I will stop breathing and die in my sleep. Please help! This is ruining my life!! I can't function!!Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
