During my pregnancy there was 2 occasion where I has so unwell with shortness of breath/coughing fits.. Which in result would make me physically sick. I Went to the doctors on many occasions asking for an inhaler thinking it could possibly being asthma. 10 weeks postpartum and it's back again with avengance. This time my shortness of breath was so bad I ended up being admitted to hospital. During one of my coughing attacks I've managed to burst a bubble on my lung and cause an air leak (which has all cleared up now) I cough so much I have to wear a pad because I leak. They mentioned surgical (Spontaneous) emphysema but are confused as to how it why with me being only 27. I also end up making myself sick on numerous occasions. Literally anything can trigger it. Talking / swallowing / breathing ect. I am literally at the end of my teather. I have no history of anything like this nor does any family member. I'm starting to think it's not asthma or asthma (untreated) because the inhalers I use are literally given me no relief. I have a constant odd sensation in my chest and neck /throat. I feel so fed up atm because of it. I have a 10 week old baby who I end up waking up due to coughing and when I do sleep she wajes me for feeds. Please any help or advice would be so grateful appreciated.
