A sharp pain in the chest that radiates to the back. It is mostly in the middle of the breast. In between sharp pains it just hurts all the time. I have had a sonogram of the stomach, gall bladder and pancreas, nuclear test for gallstones,an endoscopy, Ct scan, echo with stress test, EKG, blood work and a chest x ray. It also does not seem to be acid reflux. All those medicines don't help. Pain pills don't help much. No one knows what it is. The attacks hit at various times of the day and wakes me up at night.
What kind of doctor can I go to next that might have an answer. This has been going on since Jan. Help!

  • Have you had problems with your back? i.e. discs, spine, etc? I'm asking bc I have the same type of pain you describe and have had for a long time....couple years. Can't figure out what's wrong. Now I have had back problems in the past and currently do have some slightly bulging discs, but was told probably not the cause of my chest pain. But who knows, maybe it's a contributing factor for you? With so many things ruled out, I sooo hate the "are you stressed?" question! uggh
