My husband gets this unexplained extremely painful bruise on his left upper side. This has been going on very 2 1/2 years and no doctor has been able to diagnosis. This bruise comes on about 4 or more times a year. He has had CT scans, Ultrasounds, a biopsy, numerous blood test to no avail. No doc can figure out what is causing this. Other symptoms that he has had over the 2 year period is shortness of breath, chest pain, nausea/vomiting, dark cola colored urine, headaches, unexplained fevers periodically and every test comes back normal. We are at a loss as to what step to take every doc does what they think it may be and then when they exhaust they send us on to the next. He has seen pulmonologist, cardiologist, endocrinologist, pain management, hematologist, dermatologist been in the hospital numerous times and nothing. We are desperately seeking any suggestions as to what to do. The pain is so excruciating that he can barely get around. The bruise starts out as a very red area(looks like a sun burn) and with in 8 hours its a full blown bruise about the size of a saucer the progression is very quick and it last about 10 days. When the bruise is gone the pain remains just not as bad I've learned to live with it after 2 1/2 years.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
