I have no respiratory conditions, I would be reasonably fit for my age (33). I would regularly take deep breaths when im conscious of my breathing and when im not conscious of it ive been told that I breath very heavily which ive noticed myself doing at times when im engrossed in a movie for example. I think its caused by the mental state I'm in such as anxiety or worrying on some level that I will stop breathing and I think that's why I started deep breathing as a child because I thought I would stop breathing if I didn't do it.
