Bowel incontinence

My 85 year old father has ongoing bowel incontinence which is terrible. He is still fit healthy man who plays golf 3/4 times a week but this condition is debilitating. He has been to a specialist, has has a colonoscopy and has been given the all clear. He just thinks it is old age and he has to live with it but we think he should not have to. He can be fine for 2/3 days but then he just looses it and is in real trouble. We also think his bowels are always loose but he can control them some of the time. He seem to have no idea the incontinence is happening until it has happened and suddenly he is dealing with being smelly and having to clean himself up.
He eats a plain diet and has a social drink. I am wondering about homeopathic options. I know nothing about medical things and wonder if anyone has any ideas or knows of anyone in a similar situation who has had success.
