Horrific Nightmares

I need someones help because doctors haven't managed to help me.
I'm 19, I don't use drugs and I do not have any problems falling asleep.
However, every night (for pretty much all my life), I will have up to four or five nightmares. Instead of the nightmare occuring for the first half of the night, they will show up at random times. These nightmares are vivid and...creative... Lately, I've also been waking up, thinking I was still dreaming, and crying, repeatedly saying how afraid I was.

I want this to end...

My doctor made me take 100mg of seroquel... it helped me for a few days and now I'm back to my nightmares and the other thing that I can't name (waking up and freaking out). I'll be so happy to hear some advice, or a story about someone who is going through the same thing...
