  • it seems am facing the same problem, am a 25yr old male, ive been having this kind of pain for more than 8 yrs, on & off went to many arthritis drs. & nuerologist and they all said nothing seems to be wrong. usually the pain starts at the time i open my eyes in the morning, i feel the pain & i directly know that the rest of my day isn't gona be easy. so i wake up i & try to forget it, i take analgesics and pain killers & so the pain fade away, it sometimes come back at night but rarely. sometimes i spend like a month or two without any pain, while other times i feel the pain almost everyday. The pain is in my left thigh, outer side and back thigh + around the knee, and all the way down to the calf, sometimes its only the thigh, its a very weird feeling, i donno if feel the same, its like i can feel some electricity inside my muscles,i feel like its shaking or vibrating but if u look at it or touch it, it doesnt, and if i try to kinda isolate my leg from the rest of my body i feel weird feeling like pain with electriciy, really its something very difficult to describe. car vibrations caused by the engine will make it worse, music vibration if like turning on music in the car would aswell trigger the pain more( all of this happens only if i already had the pain in the morning). i noticed that whenever my wife put her hand on my thigh and move it across the painful area, i can feel like i donno ,electrons or electricity going out of my leg so it gets better for a little bit, but if she does the same thing but using the back of her hand, i dont feel anything.i donno its like a + & - thing between my leg and her hand, probably she gives my leg some electrons or something.sometimes i have the same pain in my arms , but that used to happen very long time ago probably years ago,& now it happens like once or twice/year.few days ago i started going to the gym, started with the cardio & the treadmill. the following 3 days were a disaster, i had so much pain & tingling & twitching in my left thigh it was the worst pain, muscle spasm i've ever had, i think my leg's muscle was very weak& couldnt bear the exercise. coz if not, both legs should have hurt. a year ago i had back pain, i had an MRI , the discs were all fine, the dr said it was muscle spasm due to stress,so i had physiotherapy for less than 2 months & i became much better, everynow & then when i stand up or bend my back for a long time i get the back pain again but less than b4 & it all dissappears after few hours of rest.I checked the neuropathy symptoms, especially the motor kind, i think this is the 1 i have, but am still not sure, so i was wondering if any1 has the same symptoms. please let me knowmy email : Derek_y@shaw.ca

  • I am not a doctor or in any medical field but I have been in some terrible pain in my life, quite similar to what you are describing. I spent 7 years in suicidal pain after hitting my head on a steel beam. Every test showed I was completely normal, even had a stinking doctor dare to tell me there was nothing wrong with me. Now that I am well and looking back, I think stress was the trigger but the source of the problem was not enough magnesium. I had just gotten married, which is right up there with death of a loved one when it comes to stress (I wasn't taking to it very well). Although I found chiropractors to be a lifesaver, allowing me to work, they weren't healing me. I took a 3-week snorkling vacation to Belize, which forced me to eat really good food since packaged food was practically unattainable, lots of fish and veggies, and I snorkled for about 4 hours a day. And no responsibilities!!!The pain I usually got from exercise never materialized (I felt so good I actually moved there about a year later). But the pain returned about 3 weeks after getting back to the states. Then I hired a trainer, one of the big boys that train the stars in Southern Cal, and that helped a lot! But I was still having bouts of pain for several years until I discovered the calcium-magnesium connection and that NSAIDS will not let you sleep properly. For me a 2:1 ratio of Calcium to Magnesium (400 mg CA; 200mg Mg) twice a day worked like magic. Taken right before bedtime had me sleeping like a baby! I am pretty much painfree as long as I do my industrial stretches about 4 times during the work day (I work at a computer 9 hrs per day). The info about the NSAIDs messing up your sleep came from the Loma Linda researchers in California. Yep, you sleep well on the darned things, but your body doesn't do all the things it should be doing while it is asleep. They advise taking them for no more than 10 days or so. I was taking the max number of Ibuprofen per day, every day, for 7 years. Now I piss blood if I take one! I am going to take a guess and say that you guys need to try the Folic Acid, B-12, and B-6 heart fix along with the Ca-Mg. B-12 is getting harder to ingest because our meat doesn't get to grub in the dirt as much as it used to, B-6 and Folic acid are hard to get unless you are eating really well (NOT the all-American diet). The nutrients are easy and inexpensive--give it a try, can't hurt unless you overdose yourself on them. The magnesium is self-regulating in that it will give you the skits when you are edging over the amount your body needs. Good Luck! Oh, and don't forget the part about stress.

She has to get off her leg when this occurs, then it goes away. Do you have this "burning"feeling? I am trying to get more info on this. thanks alot

  • I recently found out that I have this neuropathy in my legs. I had swelling, tingling and pain. After a trip to the hospital ruled out blood-clots I was sent to see my reg. MD. He send me to a speacialist. I had nerve to which revealed that disorder in my legs. It has not yet gone to my hands. My hands and shoulders hurt and are in great pain. My new doctor is on the right path to helping me... not masking the discomfort with pills. I am still woking everyday while I undergo a series of test. So you all hang in there and find someone to help you...not mask your troubles!

  • I have been dealing with pain in my legs and thighs for many years. It would start in the mornings and last all day. Exercising and stretching made it much worse. I started working with a center near Chicago called Pure Reign Life Care Center and have had a great reduction in my pain. They helped me to identify and eliminate the effect of old injuries and scars that were preventing my body from healing and repairing its self. They also used natural nutritional supplements to rebuild the muscle mass that I had lost. I specifically used a product called nerve complex and muscle power boost to ease the pain and rebuild my muscle.Good luck.
