I am having severe sharp shooting pain intermittently in my big toe for 5-20 seconds at a time for a period of about two weeks. Movement does not affect or effect pain. Sometimes standing sometimes sitting, sometimes durring rest. There does not seem to be any rhyme or reason for starting and stopping. After the pain subsides there does not seem to be any pain at all even in manipulated. The pain seems to be localized in the large toe on the instep side and includes possibly the first and second joints. It is hard to tell as the pain is so intense and quick to come on I am unable to focus totally on it. The pain amazes me as to its intensity and then moments later nothing. Any ideas?Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
