  • hi,I used to have similar pain on my big toe for a couple of years, sometimes it used to get so painful until a specialist find out that i had a small bone growing out of the main one, I had it removed and all fine now; a simple xray will show straight away

  • I have been battling that problem a while. Shoes play a big part. No narrow toes only square at ends. Keep toenails trimmed back short. Go without shoes in house. Massage feet with moisterizer and pull toes out in stretching motion. Their are some good soft diabetic socks in the drugstore. Give feet lots of TLC. Make sure you have a blood test to rule out diabetes and remember, when you injure a nerve in your toe, those are the hardest to heal because they are the smallest and furtherest from your heart. My doctor really saved me with a new drug prescription called Lyrica. It promotes nerve healing. I take 50 mg.

  • Hey--My husband has this problem and was diagnosed with Gout- a type of arthritis that usually afffects the big toe first and yes it is very painful-for the 1st 3 years he only had the big toe pain occasional-once a year or twice a year-then it got worse-there is a blood test they can do to see what your level is in uric acid. There is a antiinflammatory they give you and some times a dose pack of steriods to get over this flare-this is a life time illness that gets worse--red meat and beer are a no-no in diet - diet change helps some people while others go on medicine full time. I hope this helps . If any questions let me know--Thank care:)

  • For several seconds each day for the past week, my right big toe experiences a sharp pain. Very strange. Does not seem to be joint-related. Toe looks normal. Might it relate to circulation or nerve endings? Thanks for any insights!

  • I agree with the suggestion of gout. It has to do with uric acid build up and can be quite painful in the acute stage. This is a natural remedy that I have told several of my massage patients about and it works very well for most folks!!! BLACK CHERRY JUICE. GET THE CONCENTRATE FROM THE HEALTH FOOD STORE. IT IS QUITE BITTER- SO MIX WITH WATER OR JUICE. (it's medicine- it's not supposed to taste good!) DO THIS 3 - TIMES A DAY OR MORE IF NEEDED. PEOPLE USUALLY START TO SEE RESULTS IN A DAY OR TWO. I'VE SEEN MEN WITH GOUT IN THE KNEE USE IT FAITHFULLY AND -- I A COUPLE DAYS THE GOUT WAS GONE. IT WORKS NATURALLY TO DESTROY THE URIC ACID BUILD UP. DO YOU USE DIET SODA OR NUTRI SWEET/ASPARTAME PRODUCTS??? THERE IS A HIGH CORRELATION BETWEEN THESE ADDITIVES AND GOUT/ FIBROMYALGIA AND RA. THIS STUFF IS PURE POISON AND THE BODY HAS NO MEANS TO BREAK IT DOWN- SO IT STORES UP IN JOINTS, MUSCLE TISSUE, AND OTHER PLACES IN THE BODY CAUSING AN INFLAMMATION RESPONSE AND PAIN!!! MAYBE YOU SHOULD LOOK UP A GOOD CLEANSE FOR LIVER, SPLEEN, (in Chinese Medicine these two organs control the sinews and muscle tissues of the body) AND SEE IF A GOOD DETOX WILL HELP FLUSH OUT THE TOXINS. CHANCES ARE THROUGH DIET, STRESS (brain produces harmful chemicals under stress i.e. cortisol), YOU WON'T HAVE THIS PROBLEM OR ANY AUTOIMMUNE DISHARMONY IN THE FUTURE. CAN'T HURT!!! THE BOOK LIVING WITH WHOLE FOODS IS A GOOD START. BEST WISHES IN HEALTH~NAMASTE

If it doesn't work what are you out? If it works you will also be singing about the benifits of cherries. Canned, or fresh it doesn't matter
