This is a kicker...my husband slipped at work and doc at clinic said it was a torn tendon and in about 2wks time it would heal. Can i say now that it has been 2 mnths and the pain has only gotten worse and now not only is that pain in the groin but it pops at least 10 times a day making him loose his balance and extreme pain....and the pain now runs into the hip (bursa area)..down thigh and into the knee. Swollen ankle off and on....family doc says torn tendons take time. In all this time she has examined him once and just perscribes pain killers (percs). During the xmas holiday he was in the emergency room 4 times during that wk because of pain being so bad. She gets *****d off because he seeked medical attention so many times (but keeping in mind that he had called her friday before xmas and she said she couldnt do anything for him because she was on holidays for 2wks. NICE HUH?

Anyway ...has anyone out there ever experienced something like this...torn tendon ligament in groin area??

thanks

  • Iliopsoas Bursitis. The bursal sac fills up with fluid due to an irritation/strain, and this causes the pain in the front of the hip. Use anti-inflammatory medication. Rest the area for 10 days. Ice the hip twice a day for twenty minutes. Cortisone shots are not feasible because it is very difficult to inject the bursa.
