Our daughter for the last 2 days has complained about pain in right shoulder, which started as ache in upper arm. She has not fallen or hurt her arm as far as we can recall.

She appears well otherwise, no fever. But last night her arm hurt whenever she moved it and this morning it is the same.

Just under 2 years ago, our daughter fell ill with acute osytimylitis of the ankle, which was blood related infection in bone, from steph infection. She was in hospital for 3 weeks. This was all cleared up and she had not had any other problems. But the problem did start with an ache but at the time she developed a very high fever.

Am I just over worrying on this

  • I don't want to alarm you,but osteosarcoma(a bone malignancy)tends to be located in the upper humerus(the bone you described),so don't ignore it unless it get quickly better.
