Good morning. I hope you do not mind a newbie posting in here first :o.
Last November I was taken ill at work, symptoms:
Left sided weakness
I was rushed into hospital where I had blood tests and an MRI scan. I was kept in for two weeks, then discharged with the only diagnosis being " It is NOT a stroke" Since then I have seen two neurologists, one a stroke specialist. I have been told that brain issues like this are common and the cause is often never found... not helpful really is it?
Now a year on, I am still unable to work, my symptoms now are:
Left sided weakness - but only when tired
Forgetfulness - especially on simple tasks like hanging washing & buttering bread
Inability to process multiple instructions
Inability to co-ordinate
I am female, 46 years old. Not overweight ( 5ft 8 and 182llbs) I am an Ex-smoker, I quit 3 years ago. I did/do have a stressful job but I feel that I coped well, and I did leave my husband early last year ( which was good news for me!!)
All in all, I am frustrated and feel as if the doctors have not done anything to help. Any comments and advice would be greatly appreciated.
