  • I hate to sa it but it is a waiting game. I am 19 also and experience those symptoms plus many more neurological ones. The only advice i can give you is dont give up on yourself. IF you keep feeling this way and keep getting normal test results doctors will begin to think its all in your head, but dont give up. It's not. You know your body. I am fighting the same battle for 6 years so I am with you. Good luck

  • stay persistant with the doctors and request that an mri be done....when i was your age i was having those same symptoms plus many more and after a year of doctors telling me nothing was wrong i found out that i had a brain tumor and the only reason it was found at that time was because i tayed on the doctors case and demanded that something be done because i new something was wrong with me. the tumor wasn't cancer it had just grown and grown causing all these symptoms

  • I am 21 years old. I started at age 15 with episodes where I felt out of touch with reality. I would be able to hear and respond to what people were telling me, but felt like my rate of processing was reduced by 3. I had been to my doctor a few times with these symptoms, had a CT scan and lab results, but was dismissed with no diagnosis. The symptoms came back stronger than ever about a month ago. Since then my fingers and toes have begun tingling, I am losing my sense of balance, it is difficult for me to do fine motor skill tasks (put on make-up, write letters, etc) and I am sleeping as much as 18 hours a day. I am always tired and my muscles feel like they weigh 300 lbs. My doctors have tested for B12 deficiency and I am at 242 (Normal range- 200-900) we are awaiting a MMA result. I am hoping that the MMA will came back high so we will finally have a diagnosis, but if not my doctor has already tried to again blame all of my symptoms on anxieties. I have applied for short term disability and FMLA from my job. If they are not approved, I will end up having to quit my job.

You may find you have a postive rombergs test if tested and abnormal, non specific findings on an EEG.

ANy ideas what could be causing this ?   It sounds like it could be POTS (postural tachycardia syndrome) with the dizziness, headache, weakness and tiredness esp if you are worst with the dizziness and headaches after you've been upright. You need tilt table testing done or someone who knows about POTS to do the right tests. I dont think thou that your issue is POTS alone.. it could be part of chronic fatigue syndrome or you possibly just have CFS by itself as that too can cause those symptoms. Unfortunately it's hard to get POTS diagnoses as most doctors know very little about this illness (in my own case it took 10 yrs to get a diagnoses). Unfortunately if you do have CFS, doctors wont usually diagnose it unless someone has been sick for 6 mths with it. I suggest you watch the POTS mystery diagnoses eposide **note that most with it dont go unconscious with it... dizziness, tiredness and headache is most common symptoms of ithttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NN3PB6N6oGYhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I40-r3RpFjs&feature=relatedhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PHydjGdg4XQ&feature=related

  • i just wanted to comment that it may be worth your while speaking to an ENT specialist and having a check of your vestibular system, these could be signs of changes within your inner ear, and vestibular migraine is a possible diagnosis. if it is a vestibular problem it is treatable so worth checking out.hope this helps!physio-vestibular medicine

  • Hi I am a 24 year old male struggling with similar symptoms, I feel constantly run down, have no energy or stamina and seem to get attacks or episodes of intense fatigue which just makes me want to colapse sometimes. My doctor told me I am depressed and anxious and prescribed me antidepressants which havent work. I have not accepted this diagnosis because I am usually a very happy person. Please visist candidafree.net and take the questionaire. Many symptoms you are describing can be explained by this disease. You are especially at risk if you have used a lot of anti-biotics in the past. The best way to find out if you have candida is to take the spit test, if you google 'candida spit test' it should show you how to do it. This could possibly be the reason as I am looking into this now myself.

  • Hi Could be a blood pressure problem either too high or too low. High or low blood pressure can cause dizziness particularly as you go from sitting to standing and can give you a massive headache and also make you feel tired. Go to the doctor/chemist and have your blood pressure checked.

  • I'm 26 years old, I have the exact same symptoms for about amonth now, I feel so off balance. I sleep more than usual, but no matter how much sleep I get, I still awake feel tired. I have headaches and feel weak. Simple tasks seem as if I have to pull whatever strength I have just to complete, such as walking, or running errands. I scheduled an appointment to have a physical with my primary phisician. I am so scared, because I know my body and I know somethings wrong. I have been depressed so I havent been eating as I should in regards to 3 meals a day or health wise. I dont drink the amount of water as I should also, + I smoke , the amount of cigarettes has increased over the past few months. I'm afraid, if anyone has any idea of what can possibly be going on, PLEASE HELP...
