Hi from Australia.
After many months of symptoms, I was diagnosed with CTS and, post tests, had the surgery on my right hand. (Carpal Tunnel Release.) This was January 2006.
For the past 3 months I have had joint pain in the same hand (RHS). Specifically, the pain is only in my right index finger 2nd knuckle, my right little finger 1st knuckle, and my right wrist. I have no pain in my left hand. I have restricted movement in the abovementioned joints - cannot completely bend the index finger in a fist, and cannot touch the tip of my right thumb with the tip of my right little finger.
This pain, along with the wrist pain, has reduced my grip strength also. I am 35.
My doctor has taken bloods, and xrays, stating I do not have rheumatoid arthritis, or anything else, except pain from overuse, and my hand requires rest. However the worst it feels is first thing in the morning.
