Whenever I go to sit down - in between standing and sitting I feel a sharp, stabbing pain, combined with a burning sensation in my right knee. This happens all the time. It's been happeneing for a month now and it is affecting my training.

I can do any sort of running or walking comfortably, but when I attempt to do a squat in the gym, or just try to sit down at all, the pain sparks up and spreads mild burning sensations throughout my leg.

I can not figure out what this is.

  • Is it on the outside of the knee? If so, look up Ilio-tibial Band Syndrome. ITBS.

  • If it is on the inside of the knee, there is a little bursa there that gets inflamed. Common in older women, but anyone can get it.
