Vibrating feeling in head

I am a healthy 50 year old woman who had a very bad cold including high fever in January. After 1.5 wks. of upper respiratory problems, I started to feel better, but starting January 25th, I had the sensation that the left side of my brain was vibrating. It came and went, but would continue for hours at a time. I had several days completely symptom free, but then the vibration sensation returned. The neurologist after a complete exam said I most likely was experiencing post viral neuritis, but ordered a MRI which will be done this week. The senation has changed somewhat. It's not localized to the left side as it first was. It's more defuse now and more concentrated to the back of my head. I hope this means it's improving. But it's really irritating. It's glucose sensitive because when I am hungry, it flares up. It is also temperture sensitive (I was wearing a cap while hiking, took it off, and immediately had the vibration start up). It is also adrenline sensitive because I thought I lost something important and the vibration started up when I found it missing. Anyone have experince with a post viral neuritis symptom like this? Many thanks.
