I had my hip revised in 2013 after 15 years, it still swells some and is painful alot, dr said when we had exray that the pain I was having prior to surgery was due to worn ball and plastic shavings going down into bone. still having pain and when I lay on that side sometimes it feels like I'm laying on a golf ball. dr says no prob???

  • If you are still monitoring your thread, I had hip surgery about two years ago. I'm still hurting pretty bad. If I bend below the waist, I have a hard time getting up. It seems as if I cannot put any weight on that side at all for a few minutes, and it gradually subsides. I can't walk or can barely stand. If I do stand, I have to take all the weight off the hip leg and put it on the other side until it passes. Sometimes it feels like its moving more independently than it should in the socket. I am very unhappy that I ever had it done.
