I am 59 year old lady (diabetic) and from past 5 months i am having pain in hand fingers can't bend

since past 5 months i am having pain in my hand fingers and now its getting worse as i could not able to bend my fingers without my hand supports. i showed to doctor but they say that you are diabetes patient that's why some mineral amount is less in my blood so this problem is occurring but i am taking the medicines regularly but cant getting out of this problem and no result such shown yet. so can you please advice me why this happening is anything serious or its just normal as my age is 59yrs.
